He has also been involved with a group called the Slidell Ladies for Liberty. This is a charitable group that is active in Slidell, Louisiana, and which exists in order to provide a support network for members of the various branches of the armed forces. Bruce Swilley volunteered to organize their Costumes for a Cause event in 2013 and participated in the National Dance Day Dance-Off the same year.
